Latest build 3.8.9.2125 crashing to desktop

The latest build, 3.8.9.2125 crashes to desktop when ran. The Vmprotect_Con.exe runs fine via the console. There’s seemingly no log output or a crash dump to provide outside of standard windows event viewer information below.

I checked your setup file and VMProtect.exe works fine on my Windows 10 + Intel i7. What OS and CPU do you use?

On my portable dev machine, it’s an Apple M1 (2020) Sonoma 14.5 (23F79) ARM64 (Apple Silicon)
Running Windows 11 Version: 10.0.22631 Build 22631 under Parallels v19.4.1 (54985)

However, VMProtect 3.8.8 Build 2040 runs perfectly fine under this virtualized environment with no issues.

Any way to get a more extensive dump for this to provide to you?

It seems “Windows for ARM64” still has bugs while emulating x86 instructions.

This makes sense and is not surprising.

Thanks for the additional information - I’m sure this will work fine from my regular machine when I’m back home next week.

I saw the updated version you sent to me and I’m happy to report that it’s now the GUI is loading, however, when I load my compiled binary, it’s getting
to “Loading Functions” 83%, then crashing to desktop.
